Golden Eagle | Joel Walley Wildlife Photography
Golden Eagle (Aquila chrysaetos) soaring over the hills at the edge of Loch Spelvie, Mull. A huge bird of prey, female Golden Eagles wingspan can stretch over 7ft across, making this a formidable predator. A two week visit in November provided almost daily sightings, perhaps unsurprising considering Mull is thought to have the highest density of Golden Eagles anywhere in the world.
